According to the manufacturer, we are the first practice in the Greensboro area to invest in the new CEREC AC Bluecam technology. I've used the CEREC digital system for the past eleven years, providing our patients with durable and comfortable crowns. The precision, control, and strength of the bonded restorations we can now create through this latest chair side technology is proven to exceed former standards for quality and efficiency.
This new technology allows us to complete the restoration in less time than ever before for the convenience of our busy patients, and with a previously unheard of 10 micron level of precision. This results in minimizing the amount of time it takes to get the crown feeling “just right” in your mouth due to the initial accuracy of the fit.
My patients are very surprised with the ease and speed of the complete procedure. They are enthralled to watch the computer actually design the new crown based upon a real time 3D photo of her mouth. I know how busy my patients are, and I know that they don't want to spend a minute more in the dentist’s chair than they have to . Before the CEREC technology, a temporary crown would have been placed and a patient would have needed to return for a second visit for the permanent crown. Now, not only does this procedure include only one visit, it is a much shorter visit than ever before for a crown that fits better than ever before. Technology is a wonderful thing, and having the opportunity to give my patients bright new smile, while not taking too much time away from their active social life is a joyful experience!
