25 Years of Dental Care
25 Years of Dental Excellence
Last week my blog focused on how privileged I am to constantly welcome new patients into our practice, while maintaining strong, long lasting relationships with so many patients who have been with me since I started in private practice25 years ago. We have all had major life changes over these years, and the experience of watching my patients’ children grow up, along with ours, has been one of the most cherished memories of my practice. I also mentioned the importance of continuing education, to me and my team in keeping us at the very top of our game, ensuring that we are providing our patients with the most technologically advanced dental care, while making them feel as comfortable and valued as possible.
A Fantastic Team
This week I want to talk about my team. I have been blessed to work with the finest group of women throughout my twenty five years in dental practice. We have enjoyed extraordinary lengths of service compared to other practices – Mary Katherine has been with the practice for 19 years, and Tina, for over 11! We treat each other like family, and have determined that we spend more time together most weekdays than we do with our significant others! As much as possible, I hope I let my team know every day in many ways how much they mean to me and how valuable each one of them is in making our practice the very best it can be.
Superior Communication Skills
Each member of my team is special to me, and has unique skills and talents that enhance the care they give our patients. The one shared talent that we all value, and work hard to constantly improve, is that of excellent verbal communication. Whether we are letting each other know the crucial points about a patient’s treatment plan during a busy day, or sharing with our patients the results of a diagnostic procedure, we work very hard to make sure that we are communicating clearly, and with compassion with awareness of and respect for the unique circumstances of each patient and team interaction. It has been my experience that open and honest communication works to keep a team together and strengthen the team bonds throughout the years. It also gives patients the opportunity to let us know how we’re doing – when we exceed their expectations, or if we could have handled in a different manner. We’re all human, and doing our best requires honest, thoughtful feedback. We welcome it every day!
See what our patients are saying about us.
