Betty Wood has lived her whole life, except for a few years, in Virginia, in the Triad, and like Dr. Hyman, has always been a true blue Carolina fan – a fact that she mentioned very early and often in her initial interview with Dr. Hyman almost eleven years ago! She entered the field of dentistry as a dental assistant about 25 years ago and received on-the-job training both as an assistant and front desk person.

When Betty isn’t at work, where she is the friendly person who reaches out to patients to schedule, reschedule or remind them that they should schedule their appointments, she’s happily involved with her family. “I am very fortunate to have my two sons and their families living in the area and take every opportunity to indulge my passion for spending time with the four smartest and most beautiful grandchildren in the world,” she admits.

Betty is very happy to be in her position at the practice stating, “I am truly blessed that Dr. Hyman is such a caring person who encourages me to create that opportunity whenever possible.”
