Tina grew up in San Antonio, TX and Canal Fulton, OH. She has been a dental assistant for 15 years and has worked with Dr. Hyman for 11 years. Tina received her dental training at Dental Careers Inc., Marietta, GA.

Tina met her husband, Rob, while they were in the Navy, and when they left, they moved to his home town, the self-proclaimed pork BBQ capital of the world, Lexington, NC. They have one daughter, Haley. When she isn’t working, Tina likes to spend time with her family and friends,  or watch a good movie. 

Her favorite part of working with the practice is interacting with people she loves who have become her dental family. “They are full of support, live life to the fullest, and love to laugh..” Tina truly enjoys caring for and visiting with her patients and sharing in their lives. She loves surprises – “especially if it has icing!”

In addition to her work with her patients, Tina is an award-winning nationally-recognized thought leader and speaker who has lectured throughout the country. She is also a contributing writer for several major dental publications. 

Tina believes that in all you do, do not lose heart. The quote, “it takes courage not to lose heart, and losing heart is a choice," by John Izzo, is one of her favorites.
